01/11/09 - Week 108 Dreaming of Spring In my eye we have now entered that time of the year were color is lacking to say the least. While it may be great for black and white shooting, for the most part it is pretty darn cold and gray out there. I dug into the archives and found a little bit of spring color that I hope will help get you through. All you have to do is remember that those spring bulbs are down there and they will be popping up to greet you as it does start to warm up. This is a macro or close up of a section of one of the orange-yellow tulips that is planted in the garden outside my kitchen window. When you are down on your hands and knees pulling weeds in there around and swearing because you know you are going to have trouble standing back up take a little break and look into some of your spring flowers. Don't just glance at them but really take a close look. They are living proof at what an artist nature really is. Depending on where you are a sure sign that the flowers aren't far off is the arrival of those first hummingbirds. I won't get started on that this week.
