Shooting Ducks With A Canon

A few weeks ago I was out at one of the local wetlands areas and saw a real nice adult Heron. At the time I didn't have the camera with me. I got a chance to get back over there the other day and thanks to the lack of rain the pond had pretty much dried up and the Heron had found a new place to spend his time. I could see him but there was just no way to get the shot I wanted.

On the other hand there were plenty of Mallard Ducks around so I shot a duck. If she looks about half asleep it's because she was. They tend to do that on nice sunny mornings.

There isn't much more in the way of a story to go along with this weeks shot.

If you have a wetlands or some ponds near you and some free time take an hour and go wander around. You may be surprised at what all you can see. Leave the bread at home and don't take it to feed the ducks and geese. It's not good for them.

Hope you enjoy. Have a great week!
