04/05/09 - Week 120
Snow Day..
I'm sure most of you have heard me say that I can drive an hour and a half to play in the mountains or go the other way and be on the coast. It's one of the biggest reasons I live here in the valley.
I post quite a few images from both the coast and the mountains but not many winter shots from up on the hill. This week you get to check out the snow up there.
This weeks photo was taken on Highway 20 near Tombstone Summit. It is looking to the East and you will see the little mountain called Three Fingered Jack in the background. This little hill is 7844 feet high. More information on it along with a photo of it in the summer can be found here. More photos from my snow day can be found here if you are interested. The gallery is a real mix including a water fall and an outhouse that is kind of buried in the snow.
This week was one to go both East and West as I shot this on Monday and on Saturday we took a day trip to the Oregon Coast. Stay tuned next week for someting different in the way of a photo from the beach.
Don't forget to click on the little picture to see the big version.
Hope you enjoy. Have a great week!
