005/03/09 - Week 124
Unbroken Trail..
I wanted to get in a last snow shot for the season.
This was taken the same day the Week 122 photo was taken up at Hacleman Creek in the Oregon Cascades. On this part of the trail you are far enough from the road that you don't hear any of the cars. As the sun comes up and the day starts to warm the sounds of the forest are all that you hear. Douglas Squirrels chatter, Stellar's Jay's scream at you and giant snow balls fall out of the trees with a thud when they hit the ground (or you).
I am really anxious to hike this when the snow is out and I can see where the trail actually goes. It will also be a good way to start getting in shape for next winter and those snow shoes. It is going to take a lot of hiking this spring and summer to get in shape for the snow shoes next winter and I plan to use them often.
Hope you enjoy,
