Summer Car Shows..
Every summer around the country garage doors open, engines fire up and some amazing machines back out into the driveway. They are cleaned up and make their ways to car shows. Some of them are customs and street rods with more time and dollars tied up in them than you can imagine. Others are pretty basic and stock. We call them survivors and while they don't have as many hours or dollars in them they can be just as much fun to look at.
This weekend was the annual show and cruise here in Springfield, Oregon. The weekend of August 1st is the show just North of us in Coburg, Oregon. They are both fun shows to attend and the only two that I have been taking my Studebaker out to for the last few years.
My photo this week is one of the street rods that was at the Springfield show this weekend. I have it and seven more shots up as a slide show up on my photo blog this week. If you like old cars please take a peek at the blog. I went with something a little different on these shots and used an eight point cross star filter on my lens. It can really do some fun and interesting things on the reflection spots where the sun is hitting.
The countdown continues on the 2010 Return To Alaska trip. More info in the links below.
I have started an Alaska 2010 web site here with current information on where we stand, where we will be going and what we will be doing. When we return from the site photos and such will be added after we get back like I did on the Alaska 2005 site.
Hope you enjoy the photo,
